The actions of Renfrewshire’s SNP-led council are disgraceful. They will deny Renfreshire’s children the best start to their pre-school education. It beggars belief that nursery teacher numbers will be cut.
We are acutely aware that a key concern in Renfrewshire and across Scotland is the problems caused by underage drinking. This is made worse by a minority of rogue retailers selling alcohol to under-18s.
Today’s official opening of the new and refurbished facilities at the Paisley Lagoon Centre is tinged with the disappointment at the confirmation that Paisley will lose its ice rink facility forever. (more…)
